Every community has them; The neighbour who checks in on everyone, the volunteer who never misses a shift, the teacher, nurse, or coach who puts others first, day after day. We also have our fair share of people who could use a little hand up ahead of the holidays.

Comfort for a Cause is our way of saying thank you to the community that means everything to us. Nominate someone on Vancouver Island who you think deserves a warm, comfortable home, and one deserving nominee will receive a new HVAC system upgrade from The Comfort Group.

There are two (2) prizes to be won. Each prize consists of one (1) heating or cooling system with a value of up to $20,000 including installation!

How To Enter The Contest

1. Send Us Your Nomination

If you know someone in your community who makes life better for the people around them, tell us about them! Share who they are, what they do, and how an HVAC upgrade could give them some well deserved home comfort.

2. We Choose a Winner

Our team will read every nomination with care and look closely at each one to ensure the winner we choose whose kindness stands out and whose home could really use the help.

The winner will receive a brand-new heating and/or cooling system installed, completely free of charge.

3. The Installation

Our local licensed HVAC technicians will install the most appropriate system in the winner’s home (what we install depends on the home and the need) at absolutely no cost to them. Warmer winters, cooler summers, and one less thing to worry about!

Who Can You Nominate?

Anyone on Vancouver Island who makes life better for the people around them, fell on hard times or just all around really deserves a little bit of comfort. This could be a neighbour, a family member, a teacher, a coach, a volunteer, a local hero or just someone you know. If they’ve made a difference in your community, or in your life we’d love to hear about them.

There are a few qualifiers in place to keep things fair and make sure we can actually give away the prize so the person you nominate must also be:

A resident on Vancouver island in The Comfort Group’s serviceable area.
A homeowner of legal age of majority (19).
Not yourself, or a member of your household.

Important Dates

The Contest opens Thursday October 15, 2026 at 12am PST.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday December 4th, 2026 at 11:59pm PST
Winner will be announced on The Comfort Group Facebook page the week of Monday December 7th, 2026 and the winner will be contacted at the phone number provided at the time of entry with next steps that same day!
The winner will have 72 hours to confirm win and claim prize, else another winner will be chosen.
Install Day will be determined after announcement.

At this time we are not accepting self-nominations, or same-household nominations.

Is this contest just for homeowners?

Because of the nature of the prize and required consent for installation, this contest is only open to residents of Vancouver island in The Comfort Group’s serviceable area. For more information on whether or not your home is in our service area, read more here or give us a call (778) 716-2498

Can I nominate my mom?

You can nominate anyone in The Comfort Group’s serviceable area as part of the Comfort for a Cause contest, provided they are a homeowner and are not part of your immediate household. Yes, even your mom.

How long does it take to get something installed?

Most installations are quick, typically just a few hours, and often done the same week you book. Our techs work fast, respect your space, and make sure everything’s running smoothly before they leave.
